The fashion industry puts a great deal of pressure on people creating an ideal of what people should look like. Having a history of Anorexia, I was advised strongly to avoid any career that focused on my body to ensure no relapses. (aka fashion). However, being the stubborn girl I am, this pushed me further wanting to prove not only to my history of Anorexia, but to the people who create this "ideal" that I could and will be a fashion blogger although I may not have the "ideal" body type for it.
I had constant doubts about if fashion was the right career for me; I would wonder what people would think if they saw an ugly girl trying to create a business based off of vanity. Then it hit me: fashion isn't just about vanity, it's something more. It's art. Art has no definition, art is in fact art. And that is what makes it beautiful.
People can be extremely shallow and petty. When it comes to your life and what you want to do ignore the s**t (Sugar Honey Iced Tea :p ) and follow your dreams.
